"Bloom and Grow"

This week, the Quarter Notes planted various seeds that will bloom and grow at home. First, they chose colors for their very own planting pot! They made this by themselves while learning to mix red paint with white paint in order to make pink because one of our students wanted pink! Some of the students decided to make their very own mixture of paint that came out absolutely beautiful! After they chose their colors and painted the pots, they began their next steps.

Planting was an exciting and fun part of the process. Each student chose which seeds they would like and then we planted them as a team. The Quarter Notes also helped one another to create their flower arrangements, consisting of Zinnia's blue buttons, and sunflowers.

In Music this week with Miss Lisa, the Quarter Notes listened to "Peter and The Wolf" from the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Our students were able to identify the wolf as the French horn, and enjoyed participating in this excellent ear training technique!

The Quarter Notes also completed an important exercise by identifying key components of music. This music theory will help them tremendously as they learn more and more about each instrument, most notably, the violin!

Outside, the quarter notes released their new set of butterflies, and created beautiful pictures with chalk.

They also dug in the sandbox and enjoyed the slide and structure!

We wish you a wonderful and restful weekend!

Warmly, Dana
