This week, the Quarter Notes have been busy exploring under the sea, releasing ladybugs into nature, learning about the violin and exploring our amazing sports program outside! One of our first under the sea creatures we learned about was the dolphin, which is classified as Cetacea. They are extremely intelligent and curious creatures. Our class enjoyed mixing black and white paint to formulate the beautiful gray shades of the dolphin
The Quarter Notes were visited by two additional guests to our classroom: painted lady larvae and ladybugs! The ladybug has such beautiful distinctive spots that each student was fascinated when they held them and witnessed their living environment. Surprisingly, there are four hundred different types of ladybugs in North America, and their distinctive spots and beautiful colors make them unappealing to predators.
In sports, Mr. Perry set up a spectacular array of different activities. Smiling with glee, students rode bikes, explored a tool station, and went on wagon rides!
We look forward to seeing you next week. Have a wonderful Memorial Day!
Warmly,
Dana
