  This week, the Suzuki Quarter Notes were eager to return to their classroom at school! Friends reunited, laughed together on the playground, and spread infectious smiles throughout the classroom! Our theme this week was Earth Day, which was presented to the Quarter Notes. We focused on the ideas behind treasuring the planet we all share. The goal is to educate the children, so they will protect our environment. Issues such as pollution, recycling, deforestation, and endangered species are all part of caring for Earth. The books we have been reading this week include My Friend Earth by Patricia MacLahlan, Earth Day by Nancy L. Sanders, On Our Nature Walk by Dr. Jillian Roberts, and Peppa Pig and the Earth Day Adventure by Astley Baker Davies. On Monday, we made beautiful handprints surrounded by the words, "I can change the world with my own two hands." Following this, we created our own personal Earth Day collage for our families.   The Suzuki Quarter Notes have had a busy week wrapping up their holiday crafts for Passover plates and Easter bunnies! They have enjoyed every minute and are looking forward to this time with their families! In our Circle discussions, one of our students said their favorite part of Passover was making Matzah ball soup, finding the Afikomen and time with family. The children also decorated Easter Bunnies to bring home for this Sunday's Easter celebrations This week with Miss Lisa, we sang “The Good Morning Song” while we passed the ball around to our students. Miss Lisa also introduced new instruments including the cello and the double bass. She also spoke about the wind Instruments, which include the flute, piccolo, oboe, bassoon, and the clarinet.
